Makeup School

This 4-week class teaches students basic to advanced beauty techniques, film and television glamour, and period beauty. This class provides the background in beauty essential to makeup artists of all disciplines. Students will also learn skills that can be used in commercial, retail or personal capacities.

Foundation course

During the first two weeks you will cover day, evening, special occasion and bridal make-up plus all the techniques required to achieve these looks. Our resident makeup teachers will guide you through all the basic skills such as cleansing and analysing the skin.

You will also cover corrective work and the use of highlighters and concealers, face shapes and colour wheel. You will be taught how to choose apply and blend foundations then go onto eyes and lips including blending of eye shadows different forms of liners such as liquid, cake, crayon and kohl. You would also be taught how to highlight and contour

You will be taught how to apply false eye lashes including strip and individual plus face powders and how to set them. The course will also cover tools of the trade, hygiene and client consultation.

Creative Course

The third week will cover both photographic and catwalk (runway) make-up. Our resident tutors will talk you through their personal portfolio and demo a look before you move onto hands on practice and workshop.

In the final week, students will be given the opportunity to create different looks and professional pictures would be taken of their work for to serve as a starting point in building a portfolio
